Dear Sir,

We should be grateful for information on the

following points: -

(1) The number of registered mui tsai now in the Colony

of Hong Kong ?

(2) How many inspectors are employed for the special

inspection of these mui tsai

(a) By the Government of Hong Kong ?

(b) By any charitable organisation ?

(3) Whether any steps have been taken yet to register

so-called " adopted daughters", observing that cases in

Court indicate the subterfuge of describing mui tsai as

adopted daughters, and observing that these so-called

adopted daughters are acquired by purchase ?

(4) Whether a transaction such as the attached copy of a

"Deed on Presentation is

(a) A legal transaction in the Colony, or
